Shelter Building
In a survival situation knowing how to build a shelter to keep warm throughout the night, or during extreme weather conditions could mean the difference between life or death. This workshop will cover all of the basics of survival in the wilderness with an emphasis on shelter building. The hands on portion of this workshop will give the audience members an opportunity to try their hand at some of the shelter building methods that we will cover during the show.
Topics Covered:
Materials needed (what kind of trees to use and how)
Shelter types/sizes (solo, 2 person, group)
Setting up and making sure your shelter is secure
Insulation and ventilation
Taking down shelter (leave breadcrumbs for rescue parties)
